The hamlet of Lucelle, which belongs to the Pleigne municipality, lies a few kilometres away from Delémont in the Lucelle (Lützel) valley. The lake, with its natural shore areas, lies in a nature reserve surrounded by green countryside.
Until the French Revolution, the abbey was very important for the region. The idyllic path through the forest is ideal for slow, romantic walks, taking the time to watch the ducks and other species. Behind the bank and along the international road, you can find the pond and overflow of the Lucelle. A visit to this historic location in the border region of Switzerland and France, with restaurants and overnight accommodation, is well worth your while.
