Hike through the snowy winter landscapes of Blatten, the village at the far end of the Lötschental Valley, and alongside the lively “Lonza“ valley stream as you make your way to the well-known Kühmad place of pilgrimage.
Here, the baroque-style Virgin Mary chapel is the destination of many regional pilgrimages. At 1,633 meters above sea level, Kühmad is one of the most impressive and spiritual places in the valley. Enjoy a moment of silence and contemplation before continuing your hike on the same route back to Blatten. PostBus takes you from Gampel / Steg or Goppenstein every hour to the stop "Blatten, Dorf".
