Discover this great snowshoe trail that takes you through unspoilt landscape. Starting in Brienz, the Postbus will bring you up the Axalp alpine slope to start the trail. You then carry on down along Lake Hinterburgseeli, before finishing up in Teiffental.
The snowshoe trail starts behind the Axalp Stübli restaurant at the Postbus stop "Axalp, Sportbahnen", before continuing on down the snowy Schnitzlerweg. Special attention should be paid when you come to the ridge (Gausband). Otherwise the route will take you through untouched forests and across glistening fields of snow, until you reach the mystical Lake Hinterburgseeli. Arriving in the heavily snowed region of Gou, the trail continues along the summer route to the PostBus stop “Brienzerberg, Teiffental”. From here, the Postbus will either bring you back to the starting point at Sportbahnen Axalp or directly to Brienz.
The blue route is well suited to inexperienced hikers and no previous knowledge is required.
Snow shoes can be rented from the sports shop on the Axalp slope.
