Special ticket Sörenberg–Kemmeriboden

Winter hike through the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere

Arriving by BLS and PostBus, you will pass through beautiful Entlebuch on your way to Sörenberg, which is at the centre of the UNESCO biosphere. Following a trip on the cable car that takes you over ski pistes towards Rossweid, you will then hike through the magnificent winter landscape around the impressive Schrattenfluh mountain towards the Kemmeriboden-Bad Hotel.

Benefit from a round-trip ticket with this excursion tip that includes all necessary modes of transport (BLS, PostBus and cable car), not to mention an exquisite meringue.

Before starting your winter hike, why not spend a while at the Rossweid event restaurant: ideal for young and old alike. After a short break, you’ll be ready for your hike from Rossweid to Kemmeriboden. The trail is also well signposted in winter, leading you through a beautiful and largely untouched mountain landscape. To the right, the legendary Schrattenfluh, and to the left, the Brienzer Rothorn mountain range; a mainstay of this trip. To top it all off, try the famous Kemmeriboden meringues at the Kemmeriboden Hotel.

Due to the current situation, the meringues cannot be consumed on site. However, it is possible to take home a pack of meringues from the regional shop at the Kemmeriboden-Bad hotel.

Please check in advance whether the trail is accessible and the weather forecast for the day. All the information you need can be found in the piste report (colour-coded, green = open, red = closed) available from the Sörenberg cable car.
